The Southern Heritage is a family owned hotel. We aim to cater to all of our guests needs and make their stay a memorable and special one. Our second objective is to create opportunities and to support the local economy in the southern coastal town of Galle. Products and services offered to guests are sourced locally where possible and purchases are made thoughtfully with the aim of supporting the local markets.

We are passionately committed to reducing our carbon footprint and seek our guests support to achieve this task. Water is precious in the southern part of Sri Lanka where areas receive their clean water supply every other day. We have made a special request from our guests to help us to minimise textile washing and the use of detergent. We try our best to use renewable energy sources and at the moment we use solar power to heat our water. With future investments our aim is to convert the entire use of electricity
